Join Artist Rachel Gibson, and create your own galaxy watercolor haloed by embroidery. Start with a simple wet-on-wet watercolor technique then wring your painting with hand-stitching to create a halo effect. Incorporate metallics & shine to make your original work sing.
Your finished work will be on 8" x 10" 140 lb. coldpress watercolor framing, suitable for framing with a mat with a 5" x 7" opening. (Framing not included but available for an additional $35.)
No drawing, painting or embroidery skills required - all abilities welcome! Come have some fun, learn a little about yourself, and nurture your creative instincts.
GUIDELINES:
- LIMITED SEATING: Each session is limited to 6 people.
- LENGTH of STUDIO TIME: Up to 3 hours. You may not require the entire time to finish your work. Each person works at their own pace.
- AGE LIMIT: Participants must be at least 16 years or older.
- No one may accompany you unless they are a paid participant in the class.
FEES:
- $38 per person. This fee covers all materials. If you do not finish within the 3 hours, you may purchase a take home kit for an add'l $5 that will include everything you need to complete your piece at home.

**** You may bring your own beverages; however, alcoholic beverages are only allowed in classes where all of the participants are a part of the same party or all participants consent. .
**** There are 6 parking spaces in the garage attached to the rear of the building located at 103 Pendleton St, Marion VA 24354. The spaces are clearly marked with The FORD Studios logo. If all the gallery spaces are full, there is street parking is available on Main Street.
